After a stroke or brain injury, it can be important to help families and friends to communicate more effectively with their loved ones. We encourage involvement from all those who interact regularly with the client to ensure holistic and inclusive care with optimal outcomes. For all services we provide detailed written and verbal education regarding our client’s abilities and recommendations to all involved including family, friends and significant others.
For staff in residential care facilities, we can provide further training and development. Training may incorporate increasing staff knowledge in swallowing and communication difficulties, as well as building skills in managing these difficulties. We can tailor training and development to specific facilities as required.
