Alyssa Sullivan Speech Pathologist

Alyssa Sullivan graduated with a Masters of Speech Pathology from Flinders University in 2017. Previous to this, she completed a Bachelor of Arts focusing on the study linguistics and languages. Alyssa is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist with Speech Pathology Australia and is committed to ongoing professional development.

Before relocating to Adelaide in 2021, Alyssa spent 3 years working as a speech pathologist in the vibrant and diverse community of Darwin. She is passionate about working with clients from diverse backgrounds and providing equitable speech pathology services.

Alyssa has experience working children, adolescents, and adults. She has worked in community health, education, and disability settings. She enjoys working with clients and families face-to-face and utilising Telehealth to provide services.

Alyssa believes it is important to take a functional, life-based skills approach to assist clients to build and strengthen their skills in everyday routines such as talking on the phone, ordering at a restaurant, going to the grocery store and participating in conversations with friends and family.

Alyssa has a strong interest in cognitive-communication, swallowing impairments and supporting clients to develop their skills to use alternative communication independently.
